Befriending the Baptists

I mentioned our Baptist friends that had us and the young elders over for lunch a week ago. In talking to the members, the general feeling is that of the various churches in this area, the Baptists have been the least accepting of us. I guess there have been several attempts to do a joint Christmas musical with several of the churches in town and the Baptists have refused to participate. However these Baptist friends of ours seem to be very tolerant and are just really good people. In trying to learn a little more about Baptists on the internet, I found that the president of the flagship Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Albert Mohler has spoken at BYU twice and considers four of the apostles to be his friends.
