This past week, we (Mostly
Sister Anderson) took a birthday card to an investigator, prepared a meal for a
non-member family that was sick, and had another non-member over for dinner. We
also fed several members. We did our service at the two nursing centers and at
the school. And finally, successfully delivered a large heart shaped cookie to the
neighbors. We have neighbors that we met last fall and had delivered chocolate chip
cookies to, when we delivered the cookies, the husband said he didn’t like chocolate
chip cookies, but his wife would eat them. He happened to mention that his favorite
were oatmeal raisin. This is the couple that invited us over for hors d’oeuvres
at Christmas time.
For Valentine’s Day, Sister
Anderson made a large oatmeal raisin cookie for him with a chocolate chip center
for her. We tried several times to deliver
it, but could never catch them home. We decided to leave it between the screen door
and the door. He somehow found our phone number called and thanked us.
