Helped Our Baptist Friend Painting His Fence Again.

I saw our Baptist friend pulling out of the golf course with his golf cart last week on a Sunday. I asked him if he was done! I was talking about golfing but he thought I was asking about his fence painting project that I had helped him with. He said no, he still had more to do. So I offered to go out on our preparation day and help with the painting. We had a good visit and were able to talk a little more religion than in the past.

I mentioned that he was golfing on a Sunday. I find that good Church going people out here have a completely different concept of how one should spend the Sabbath Day than we do. I know that is one thing the leaders of our Church are really emphasizing this year is for us to think about how we are spending the Sabbath Day and what our activities should be on that day. We will never become a Zion people if we are not honoring the Sabbath Day. Maybe that is why some speculate that Christ will return on a Sunday.

A Little Service For Our Baptist Friend

When we had our last outing with our Baptist friend, I mentioned to him that we teach people about the gospel but also provided service. He said, "Well you could come and help me paint my fence." So last Monday on our preparation day, I went over and helped paint his fence. It was a nice sunny day and I really enjoyed getting out and doing some light physical labor for a change.
