Finally, another Grandchild arrives, not just on time but Three Weeks Early

The Missouri Independence Mission President asks that missionaries arrive for meetings early, and also wants them sitting in their seats reverently preparing themselves to be taught.

Well, our newest granddaughter is not just punctual but arrives early. Maybe she inherited it from her father who was a track star in high school and college. If you are a sprinter the point is to get there early or at least before the other runners.

We feel very blessed to have a new granddaughter. We have been praying for years that the Lord would bless our children that were in a position to have children, with children of their own. When we heard the news that she was coming early, it was a bit traumatic for us and for her parents. But the mother and Baby seem to be doing fine, our new granddaughter decided she could do her growing outside the womb just as well as inside the womb, plus this way she could look around and see what is going on.

We have been taught that as we attempt to serve our mission faithfully, the Lord would bless our family while we were gone. I also posted earlier that we at times worship a forth watch God when we want first watch answers to our prayers.  In this case it seems we received a first watch blessing. This newest granddaughter was conceived about the same time we received our mission call, well before we had served a day in the mission field. The Lord truly blesses us as we attempt to serve him.

We continue to have many things we pray for, and I am confident the Lord will answer those prayers as we learn to submit our will to the will of our Heavenly Father. We read in D&C 82:10  I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise.

I know that as we learn to be completely obedient to Heavenly Father’s will, he will grant us all our righteous desires.

While M&M Peanuts happen to be one of my favorite candies, I would take a new grandchild every time.
