When we were first asked to
do the bible study at the retirement center, I thought maybe I should just find
some nondenominational thought that is uplifting to the soul. I decided to get
on line and try to find some ideas from the thoughts shared on the Tabernacle Choir’s
“Spoken Word.”
I got on their site but got
sidetracked a little because they had a rendition of “You Raise Me Up”, one of
my favorite songs. Sister Anderson tells me that I have a lot of favorites and
I suppose that is true. They did a little write-up explaining how it was the
song that almost wasn’t. But here is their rendition.
I think Sister Anderson may still be partial to Josh
Groban’s version.
Well I ended up not using
any of the ideas from the spoken word because they were too short for my
purposes, but the “You Raise Me Up” song was an uplifting diversion.
