Experienced Some Kansas Weather This Past Week

Several people we visited last week were concerned about tornados. I think there may have been warnings around Mound City last week but no tornados close by that I am aware of. We don’t watch the news unless we happen to see something at the fitness center so there could be things going on that we are not aware of.  We did experience several major thunder and lightning storms last week. The thunder was so loud early one morning that it shook the entire house. The storms that move through this area can drop a lot of rain in a short amount of time. Then the storm will move out and the sun comes out, and we are always amazed how fast the gravel road in front of our house dries off and it gets dusty again.
